Scottish National Baseball League 2025 Schedule Released
Baseball Scotland is thrilled to announce the official schedule for the 2025 Scottish National Baseball League (SNBL) season. The full schedule can be found on our website at baseballscotland.co.uk/schedule.
The 2025 season promises to be an exciting one, with the Edinburgh Cannons looking to defend their titles as the reigning AAA Division SNBL 2024 regular season champions and Caledonia Classic title holders. The Cannons have shown remarkable consistency over the last three years, making them the team to beat once again this year.
Across the central belt, the Glasgow Galaxy will once again feature a dynamic pitching duo led by reigning AAA pitcher of the year Jacob Wright. Further north, the Granite City Oilers are prepped and ready to improve on last year’s campaign behind stalwart manager Casey Mackenzie. Back down in Edinburgh, the Diamond Devils will be returning nearly their entire roster, and have added promising rookie pitcher Nick Willoughby to their starting rotation.
In the Single A division, the Glasgow Comets will aim to retain their championship trophy after a stellar performance last season. The Edinburgh Knights, who clinched the Caledonia Classic in their division, are also gearing up for another competitive season behind pitcher Caitlin McCaffrey, who received last year’s Single A regular season and playoff MVP honours.
One of the highlights of the upcoming season will be the local derby matches in Edinburgh and Glasgow. These fixtures are always highly anticipated, fiercely contesteted, and showcase some of the the best of Scottish baseball.
Adding to the excitement, AAA league MVP Aven Fletcher will be back on the field for his second season with the Tayport Breakers. Fletcher will be looking to build on outstanding performance on the pitcher’s mound and at the bat which should be cause for concern for Tayport’s opponents throughout the 2025 campaign. The Breakers have also bolstered their roster with several high-profile additions in an effort to reclaim the Caledonia Classic title so be sure to circle the April 13th matchup between the Breakers and Cannons, a repeat of last year’s national championship, as one to watch for early bragging rights.
Down in Single A, the Edinburgh Angels will look to build on their inaugural 2024 season while the Glasgow Comets, featuring pitching threat Roberto Carlos Torres and outfielder Danny Quinn, hope to extend their SNBL championship dynasty even further.
