MLB Pitcher conducts off-season workout at Edinburgh Baseball Club fields

Miami Marlins reliever Ryan Weathers was visiting Scotland for a family wedding over the holidays, but that would not interfere his off-season throwing program. Weathers connected with the Edinburgh Cannons, back-to-back SNBL Champions, who offered their home field as a training ground.

After battling the windy conditions during his throwing session, Weathers developed a newfound appreciation for what the Scottish players have to deal with in preparing for their upcoming season.

While Weathers will no doubt prefer pitching in sunny Miami this season, the SNBL clubs are no strangers to Scotland’s wintry conditions and some clubs have already started training for the 2025 campaign.
